Powel Crosley, Jr. (1886-1961) owned WLW radio station and the Crosley Corporation, a Cincinnati manufacturer of radios. He also formed Crosley Motors, which manufactured the Crosley automobile from 1946 to 1952. In 1934 he purchased the Cincinnati Reds. Lida Chatfield Montgomery was Powel's niece.
